What to do
Ask for a mechanical gauge reading rather than a scan tool figure, since the scan tool reads the sensor under suspicion. If the transmission is slipping too, assume lost pressure until proven otherwise.
What this code means
The third pressure sensor circuit reads below its valid electrical range, typically a short to ground. The distinction that governs P0842 applies unchanged: a circuit reading low and pressure genuinely being low are indistinguishable to the module, and a mechanical gauge is what separates them.
