P0932: Hydraulic Pressure Sensor Circuit
What to do
Expect the gearbox to become unable to change gear, or the car not to move at all. Make sure whoever looks at it understands this is the actuation hydraulic system rather than transmission fluid pressure — they are separate systems on this kind of gearbox and checking the wrong one wastes a diagnosis.
What this code means
A fault in the sensor monitoring the actuation system's hydraulic pressure. This is a different hydraulic system from the one the P0840 and P0870 codes describe, and confusing the two sends a diagnosis to entirely the wrong place.
On a hydraulically actuated automated manual or dual-clutch gearbox there is a dedicated high-pressure circuit whose only job is to move things — the clutch actuators and the gear selection actuators. It has its own electric pump, its own accumulator storing pressure between pump runs, and often its own fluid, distinct from whatever lubricates the gears. It is not automatic transmission line pressure and it is not the gearbox oil.
That separation is why the symptoms differ so sharply. Line pressure failing on an automatic makes clutches slip. Actuation pressure failing here makes the gearbox unable to move anything: the clutch will not operate, gears will not engage, and the vehicle stops being driveable rather than becoming vague.
