Hydraulic Pressure Sensor
Monitors pressure in the actuation hydraulic circuit of an automated manual or dual-clutch gearbox, telling the module when to run the pump and whether there is enough pressure to move an actuator. Distinct from the transmission fluid pressure sensor, which watches the pressure that applies clutches on a conventional automatic — different system, different symptoms. Losing actuation pressure does not make anything slip; it makes the gearbox unable to move at all, which is a sharper and more obvious failure than the gradual vagueness of low line pressure.
