P0A13: DC/DC Converter Enable Circuit High
What to do
Have the circuit inspected rather than guessing at parts — this is a wiring code far more often than a converter. If the twelve-volt battery starts going flat overnight, mention it: that detail tells the technician which way the circuit has failed. High-voltage cabling is involved; use a qualified hybrid workshop.
What this code means
The DC-DC converter's enable line is stuck high — shorted to a supply, or open in a circuit whose resting state reads high.
As with P0A12, which way this fails depends on the vehicle's logic: a line stuck in the enabled state leaves the converter running when the module wants it off, which matters mostly at shutdown — a converter that never sleeps is a slow drain and a module that cannot complete its power-down sequence. Stuck in the disabled state it is the P0A11 picture instead. The code names the circuit, not the direction; the wiring between the module and the converter is where the answer usually is.
