Treat this like a failing alternator: the car is running down its small battery and will eventually shut down without warning. Get it looked at promptly rather than driving on. The converter is fed from the high-voltage system — do not open, probe or unplug anything with orange cabling yourself, and use a workshop qualified for hybrid work.

What this code means

The wire that switches the DC-DC converter on has failed open — the module commands the converter to run and the command never arrives.

A hybrid has no alternator. The DC-DC converter is the charging system: it steps a few hundred volts from the traction battery down to the fourteen volts that runs the lights, the modules, the pumps and everything else the car does with electricity. The enable line is how the vehicle wakes that converter up, so an open here means the twelve-volt system runs on its small battery alone — draining while you drive, with a full traction pack sitting above it that the car can no longer reach.

The presentation is exactly an alternator failure — dimming lights, a battery warning, then a car that dies and will not restart — on a vehicle that has no alternator to replace. That mismatch sends this fault to the wrong part counter constantly. The neighbouring family matters too: P0A08–P0A10 are the converter reporting its own output, while this family is about the switch that turns it on. A converter that never runs has nothing to report, so the enable fault can be the quieter of the two.

There is one check that costs nothing: with the system READY, twelve-volt battery voltage should sit around fourteen volts. Resting battery voltage instead — around twelve and a half — means the converter is not charging, whatever else is or is not stored.
