P0CCC: Charge Port Door A Position Sensor Circuit
What to do
Say which way it is failing — refusing to charge, or refusing to drive — because the same sensor produces both and they point in opposite directions. Check the flap closes fully and cleanly by hand; a door that is not quite shutting is a real cause and costs nothing to find.
What this code means
The sensor reporting whether the charge port door is open or closed has a circuit fault.
The car needs to know this for two reasons that pull in opposite directions, which is why the door is sensed at all rather than just actuated. It must not energise the charging inlet unless the door is genuinely open and the cable genuinely seated. And on many vehicles it must not drive away while the flap is open, because an open flap at speed catches wind, and a cable still attached is worse.
So a door the car believes is open can inhibit driving, and a door it believes is closed can refuse to charge. Which of those two you get depends on which way the sensor has failed, and it is the first thing to establish because they read like completely different faults.
The environment is the same as the switch's — outdoors, wet, salted — and so are the usual causes.
