Have this looked at before rapid charging again or driving hard. A pump running too fast usually means it is pumping nothing — an air lock, low coolant or a broken impeller — so the battery is not being cooled while the car believes it is. Check the coolant level if you can see the reservoir; a visible drop means a leak.

What this code means

The traction battery's coolant pump is turning faster than it should.

A pump running too fast sounds harmless and is the more alarming of the two directions, because of what makes it possible.

A pump is loaded by what it pumps. Push coolant through a circuit and the fluid resists; that resistance is most of what limits the speed for a given drive voltage. So a pump that has sped up is a pump that has stopped meeting resistance — which usually means it is no longer moving coolant at all.

Three things produce that, and all three are worse than a pump fault. An air lock: the impeller spins in a gas pocket, which offers almost no resistance and also carries away no heat. A coolant level that has fallen far enough to uncover the pump, which means a leak. Or a broken impeller — the motor turns freely because it is connected to nothing.

The pack is uncooled in every one of those cases, while the pump reports as running. So this code should be read as "no coolant flow" rather than as "pump too fast", and treated with the urgency that implies: rapid charging and sustained power both put real heat into a pack, and it has nowhere to go.
