What to do
Expect no air conditioning, and no cabin heating on a heat-pump car. The car drives normally. The compressor is being shut down as a precaution rather than because it has failed — without a current measurement the car cannot protect it.
What this code means
The circuit for the sensor measuring the air conditioning compressor motor's current is faulty.
This is the instrument, and the corpus draws that line everywhere: P0D6F says the compressor's current is too high, this family says the thing that measures it is unreachable.
Why the measurement matters is at P0D6F. A compressor draws current in proportion to how hard it is working, so current is how the module knows the machine is starved of oil, stalling against liquid refrigerant, or seizing — all of which destroy a compressor, and all of which are visible in the current long before anything stops.
So losing this sensor does not merely disable a code. It removes the early warning. The compressor will be shut down as a precaution, which is the right call: running a high-voltage compressor with no current measurement means running it with no protection against the failures that would otherwise be caught.
