P2014: Intake Manifold Runner Position Sensor/Switch Circuit Bank 1
What to do
The car may run acceptably while the module loses its ability to check whether the flaps are moving. Worth fixing before any other manifold flap fault is investigated, since this sensor is what the diagnosis depends on.
What this code means
A fault in the sensor reporting where the manifold runner flaps actually are on bank 1.
This sensor is what lets the module tell "I commanded the flaps to move" from "the flaps moved", and losing it is why the stuck-open and stuck-closed codes exist at all — without position feedback the module could only ever report a circuit fault. So a position sensor fault removes the vehicle's ability to diagnose the mechanism it is attached to, which is worth repairing before chasing any related complaint.
