No effect on how the car drives. Ask for this sensor to be compared against the other temperature readings on a fully cold vehicle — one measurement usually settles it.
What this code means
The fuel vapour temperature reading is electrically valid but implausible — most often a value that never changes while the fuel plainly warms and cools through a journey.
The cold-soak comparison settles this as it does every temperature sensor in the corpus: after a vehicle has stood overnight, this sensor should agree with ambient and with the other temperature readings within a few degrees. Whichever disagrees at that moment is the faulty one.
