Fuel Vapour Temperature Sensor
Measures the temperature of fuel vapour in the evaporative emissions system, which the module needs before it can interpret a pressure reading. Leak detection works by sealing the fuel system and watching pressure — but vapour pressure changes with temperature on its own, rising as fuel warms after a journey and falling overnight, so a pressure change proves nothing without a temperature to explain it. Losing this sensor does not affect how the car drives; it stops the evaporative self-test running at all, which shows up as an emissions test rejection rather than a failure.
