P2066: Fuel Level Sensor B Performance
What to do
A gauge stuck at one reading is this code's face. Mention whether it ever moves at fill-up — and if the car has also been cutting out on half a tank, say so, because a transfer-pump fault can make a healthy sender look frozen.
What this code means
Sender B's reading is electrically alive but implausible — and this family's classic implausibility is the float that never moves: a level reading frozen through fill-ups and long journeys alike, which the module catches by comparing against fuel actually burned.
The honest causes are mechanical more often than electrical: a float arm snagged on the tank's internal mouldings, a worn resistive track with a dead spot (the sender sweeps the same near-full arc for years, and wears where it rests), or contamination coating the track. The B sender adds a saddle-tank special: a failed transfer system leaves lobe B genuinely static — fuel that never moves reads as a float that never moves, so P2632's family is worth ruling out before the sender is condemned.

Information, not instruction
CarGeek is a reference, not a service manual. Its pages are written from public sources and from what other people have found, never from a manufacturer's own service information, so they can be wrong or incomplete for your particular vehicle. Some of what they describe carries real risk: high voltage, fuel under pressure, stored energy, hot and moving parts.
Have anything you intend to act on checked by a trained person against the manufacturer's own procedure for your vehicle. Nothing here replaces that procedure.

Nothing posted about this yet. Whatever you found is worth writing down — even a dead end saves someone the same afternoon.
What makes one worth reading:
- The car — make, model, year and engine. The same fault behaves differently on each.
- What you measured, not only what you replaced.
- What actually fixed it — or that nothing did, which is worth knowing too.
