What this code means
Bank 2's intake camshaft actuator control circuit reads low — the fail-safe direction, per P2088, on the second bank. One bank running base timing while the other phases normally adds a signature of its own: an engine subtly out of step with itself, felt as an odd coarseness rather than plain flatness.
