Usually still driveable with softer low-end response and worse economy. Worth attending to before the phaser itself is affected.
What this code means
An electrical fault in the circuit driving the bank 2 intake camshaft actuator. Bank 2 is whichever bank does not contain cylinder 1, and on transverse V6 installations that is usually the bank tucked against the bulkhead — which matters, because the difficulty of reaching the solenoid often drives the repair decision more than the part cost does. Confirm which physical bank is which before booking labour.
