P2144: Exhaust Gas Recirculation Vent Control Circuit Low
What to do
Expect a rough idle or hesitation if the valve is left open. Driveable, but the roughness will not improve until it is repaired.
What this code means
The EGR vent control circuit reads below its valid range, normally a short to ground. The module shuts its output driver down rather than continue feeding a short, so the vent stops responding and the valve is left at whatever the vacuum in the line dictates.
