P2550: Torque Management Request Input Signal B Circuit Low
What to do
Expect an engine that will not pull properly. The cause is a wire carrying a request from another module, so no engine part will help. Wiring rubbed through against bodywork and water in a connector are the two ordinary findings.
What this code means
The second torque management request circuit reads below its valid range — a short to ground, or a collapsed signal. As on the A circuit, the low state is normally the asserted state, so the practical result is an engine held back continuously.
The mechanism is at P2544 and the circuit reasoning at P2546. Nothing bought for the engine will change it.
