U0486: Invalid Data Received From Antenna Control Module
What to do
If the radio reception has gone poor, the satellite navigation cannot find you, the phone app has stopped connecting and the keyless entry has become unreliable — that is not four faults. It is one.
The fin on your roof is not just a radio aerial. It houses the radio, digital radio, satellite navigation and mobile data aerials, and on many cars the receivers for keyless entry and the tyre pressure sensors, all in one small unit. So a single problem there produces a set of complaints that look completely unrelated.
Two things worth mentioning to a garage. Has the headlining been down for any reason — a sunroof repair, an aerial fitted, a roof console, airbag work? The connectors up there are very often left unseated afterwards. And has anything been on the roof — bars, a box, a bike carrier — or has the car been through an automatic car wash that caught the fin?
One more thing worth checking yourself: look up. The seal around the fin is a known place for water to get in, and the water does not stay there — it runs down inside the headlining and comes out somewhere else entirely. A damp headlining, a wet pillar trim or water dripping onto a seat may well share a cause with this fault.
The car is safe to drive.

The useful correction here is that the fin on the roof is not a radio aerial. It is a housing, and on a modern vehicle it contains most of the vehicle's connections to the outside world in one place: the AM/FM and digital radio aerials and their amplifier, the satellite positioning antenna, the mobile data antenna for connected services and emergency calling, and frequently the receivers for keyless entry, remote locking and the tyre pressure sensors.
So a fault here reaches things nobody associates with an aerial, and recognising the pattern saves a diagnosis: poor or absent radio reception, satellite navigation that cannot find the vehicle, the phone app and connected services unavailable, and — on some vehicles — keyless entry becoming unreliable, all at once. Four unrelated complaints, one housing.
Where the fault is has an answer specific to the roof. These modules are reached by dropping the headlining, which happens for a sunroof repair, a curtain airbag, a roof console or an aerial upgrade, and the connectors are frequently left unseated afterwards. A roof box or roof bars can crush the cable run; an automatic car wash can catch the fin itself.
And the fin's gasket is a known water path. Water entering there does not stay at the aerial — it runs down inside the headlining and along the roof rails to whatever is at the lowest point, which is why a wet headlining, a damp A-pillar or water dripping onto a seat can share a cause with this code. Look up before looking anywhere else.
