Watch the temperature gauge and treat any climb seriously — a flow valve fault can block coolant from the radiator. If the engine runs cold instead (slow warm-up, tepid heater, thirstier than usual), it is safe to drive but wasteful and hard on emissions. Either way have it seen soon; the module is managing engine temperature through a valve it no longer fully controls or trusts.
O que este código significa
The engine coolant flow control valve's position sensor is reading low.
A constant low usually means a short to ground — the line is pulled down regardless of the true reading, and the module stops trusting the circuit.
Modern thermal management replaced the wax thermostat with a valve the module drives. The engine coolant flow control valve routes coolant on command — through the radiator, the heater, the block, or nowhere at all. Holding coolant still in a cold engine warms it up minutes faster, which is fuel economy and emissions; hybrids lean on the same valve to scavenge engine heat for the cabin. It is a motorised valve with a position sensor, and this family covers both halves.
A valve fault is a temperature-regulation fault, and the direction decides the severity. Stuck open or driven wrong toward cooling, the engine runs cold — poor heating, higher consumption, the classic thermostat-stuck-open picture. Failed toward closed, coolant cannot reach the radiator, and that is an overheat waiting for the first hill.
The position sensor is what makes the valve trustworthy, and its circuit codes mean the module is moving a valve it cannot verify. Expect it to fail safe — commanding a cooling-biased position and accepting the cold running — because guessing warm is the direction that destroys engines.

- O carro — marca, modelo, ano e motor.
