Parking brake will not release
The park brake stays applied and the vehicle cannot be driven away, or drags as though it is still on. On an electric park brake there is usually no lever or cable to fall back on, so releasing it is a workshop procedure and the vehicle normally needs recovering on a flatbed rather than being towed. Forcing the car to move against clamped rear brakes damages the brakes and can damage the actuators.
