Holden Ute

A coupé utility — a passenger car's cabin and running gear with an open tray behind it — and a body style with no equivalent outside Australia, which is the practically useful point: nothing from an American pickup applies to it. Underneath it is a Commodore of the same letter and shares that car's information entirely, engines, transmissions and front suspension alike. What is its own is the rear: a longer wheelbase, different spring and damper rates, and on later cars a load-sensing brake proportioning arrangement whose sensor sets chassis codes that read as an ABS fault. The Crewman is the four-door version and the same vehicle mechanically.
