Isuzu D-Max
The pickup that carries Isuzu's global volume, sold across Asia, Africa, the Middle East, Australia and Europe, and rebadged by General Motors in several markets. Its 4J-series diesel is a working engine in the literal sense: fleet and agricultural duty at very high mileage, which makes its population the reference one for what an aftertreatment system looks like when it is genuinely worn rather than merely dirty.
