Land Rover Defender

The nameplate covers two entirely unrelated vehicles, and confusing them is the most consequential mistake in this catalogue. The original, to 2016, is a ladder-frame utility vehicle with almost no electronics; the 2020 car is an aluminium monocoque with air suspension, mild-hybrid systems and forty-odd modules. No diagnostic knowledge crosses between them.
