SsangYong Rexton
The large ladder-frame SUV that carries the brand, and the model where its Mercedes-Benz licensing matters most. The early 2.7 XDi is a Mercedes OM665 built under licence, with a Mercedes injection system behind it — so Mercedes information applies to that engine and to nothing else in the range, which is exactly the kind of split that sends a diagnosis to the wrong manual. Later cars use SsangYong's own e-XDi engines and share none of it. Body-on-frame with a part-time transfer case throughout.
