What to do
Driveable with poor or absent air conditioning. Worth having the refrigerant charge checked as part of the diagnosis rather than replacing the sensor first.
What this code means
The refrigerant pressure reading is implausible for the conditions. With the system off and the vehicle cold, refrigerant pressure should sit at a value corresponding to ambient temperature — a reading far from that is either a sensor fault or a system that has lost most of its charge.
That static comparison is the quickest useful test, and it needs only a scan tool and a thermometer.
