P0996: Transmission Fluid Pressure Sensor/Switch F Circuit Intermittent
What to do
An occasional bad gear change in an otherwise normal drive. Worth catching before it becomes permanent.
What this code means
The sixth pressure signal drops out or jumps briefly, giving occasional bad pressure corrections and the odd unexplained gear change that results. Internal harness and pass-through connector faults are again the usual causes, both aggravated by heat.
