What this code means
The control circuit for the second charge status indicator is open.
This is the sibling of P0D2C, and the reasoning there applies in full: the indicator reports that charging is happening, its failure does not stop charging, and the practical harm is an owner who sees nothing, assumes the charge failed and unplugs.
What the B designator adds is that the car has more than one. Two indicators let a single port convey more than one state at a time — connected against charging, or charging against complete — which is how a car communicates with somebody standing beside it who cannot see the dashboard.
So losing one of two is a partial failure, and that is worse than losing both, because the remaining indicator still lights and the pattern it now shows means something different from what the handbook says. A driver reading it will draw a confident wrong conclusion rather than no conclusion.
