P0B33: Servicestekker van het hoogspanningssysteem — circuit
Niet doorrijden
If the car has just had high-voltage work — a battery, a coolant repair, an inspection — and now will not power on, the service plug not being fully latched is the likeliest single explanation and it costs nothing to correct. Say so when you call; it may save a recovery. Otherwise: this is not a component to locate, look at or touch yourself, whatever a video suggests, and nobody should ever bypass this circuit to get the vehicle moving.
Wat deze code betekent
The circuit that monitors the high-voltage service disconnect is faulty.
The service disconnect is the single most important safety device on an electrified vehicle, and it is worth knowing what it does before reading anything else here. It is a plug or lever — usually orange, usually under a seat, in the boot floor or on the pack itself — that sits in the middle of the traction battery's series string. Pulling it does not switch the pack off; it splits the pack in two. Neither half on its own reaches a lethal potential, which is what makes the pack safe to work near. Every piece of high-voltage service work begins with removing it.
The car monitors it because it is also an interlock. With the disconnect out or not properly seated, the contactors must not close, and the vehicle must not energise its high-voltage system. So a fault in this circuit does not merely log a code — it usually stops the car powering on at all, and that refusal is correct behaviour rather than a second fault to be worked around.
That leads to the most useful thing on this page. By far the commonest real cause is a disconnect that was not fully re-seated after work. It has a deliberate two-stage action — the connector seats, then a lever or catch latches it home — and a plug that looks and feels fitted can easily be one movement short. So a vehicle that will not power on immediately after any high-voltage work is very often this, and the fix is free.
The absolute rule, which has no exceptions: this circuit is never bypassed. Jumping it to get a car moving removes the guarantee that the pack can be de-energised, and the next person to work on that vehicle — possibly at a roadside, possibly after a collision — will rely on a safety system that is no longer there.
