P0130: O2 Sensor Circuit — Bank 1 Sensor 1
What to do
Usually driveable with worse economy and emissions. Worth fixing before an emissions test, and before the fuelling errors start loading the catalytic converter.
What this code means
A general fault in the signal circuit of the upstream oxygen sensor on bank 1. This is the sensor the module trims fuelling from, moment to moment, so its signal is arguably the most consulted input on the engine. Note the distinction from the P0030–P0032 group: those concern the sensor's internal heater, while this concerns the oxygen measurement itself. A sensor can fail one and not the other.
