P0707: Transmission Range Sensor A Circuit Low
What to do
Expect harsh shifting and possibly no reverse lights. Driveable, but the transmission is running on a default assumption rather than knowing what you have selected.
What this code means
The range sensor signal is below its valid range, which normally means a short to ground. Because the sensor lives on the outside of the gearbox, its harness runs through the underside of the vehicle where road salt, stone damage and heat all reach it, and a chafed wire touching the transmission casing produces exactly this reading.
