The vehicle drives normally, and this is unlikely to affect how it runs.

This is uncommon equipment and what it does varies between manufacturers — it monitors the radiator and cooling installation and reports over the vehicle's network. Your vehicle's own documentation is the right reference here rather than any general description, and on a commercial or fleet vehicle the operator or fleet manager may need to know about it.

As with every code of this kind, it says the device has stopped being heard — not that it has failed. Its power supply, its earth, its connector and the wiring are all commoner causes than the device itself, and they should be checked first.

Mention anything that has been done to the front of the vehicle or the cooling system — a new radiator, a coolant change or flush, front-end accident repair. This device is attached to that area and its connector gets disturbed by all of them.

Ce que signifie ce code

The radiator anti tamper device has stopped being heard from. See U0200 for the block's framing.

This is uncommon equipment, and being straightforward about that is more useful than pretending otherwise. It is a monitoring device associated with the radiator and cooling installation, reporting over the vehicle network — and what exactly it monitors, and what the vehicle does when it reports, varies enough between manufacturers that the vehicle's own documentation is the authority rather than any general description.

What can be said with confidence is the general shape. Devices of this kind exist where a manufacturer or operator needs to know that a cooling installation has been interfered with — whether for warranty, for compliance, or on fleet and commercial vehicles where cooling system integrity is a maintenance concern. The code itself means only that the device is no longer being heard on the network, which is the same statement every code in this block makes.

So the diagnostic advice is the block's standard advice, and it is genuinely the right advice here: the device's power supply, its earth, its connector and the network wiring come before the device itself. U0100's argument applies in full — the code names a component and says only that its messages stopped arriving.

Two practical points are worth adding.

Anything that has involved the radiator or the front of the vehicle should be mentioned — a radiator replacement, a coolant change, front-end accident repair, or a cooling system flush. This device is by definition attached to that area, and its connector is disturbed by all of them.

And on a fleet or commercial vehicle, the operator may need to know. Where such a device exists for compliance or warranty reasons, a fault in it is something the operator will want recorded rather than simply cleared.
