Wat te doen
Ask whether the pilot injection has been looked at in live data before an injector is replaced. Modern diesels inject a small amount of fuel just before the main injection to quieten combustion, and a pilot that is too early or too large advances the burn without the injector being faulty.
Say whether the engine knocks or sounds harsh under load, which fits this fault.
Answer honestly if asked about misfuelling. Petrol in a diesel tank makes the fuel ignite early and produces this — though usually on every cylinder rather than one.
Do not leave it running like this, since early combustion loads the piston and bearings in a way that causes real damage over time.

Combustion on cylinder 2 is happening earlier than the module commanded.
Early combustion opposes the crankshaft instead of driving it, which is why this direction is the more damaging one and why it should be repaired rather than watched.
The dominant cause on a single cylinder is an injector that is not sealing — dribbling fuel into the chamber ahead of its commanded opening, so ignition is already under way when the main injection arrives.
There is a diagnostic subtlety worth knowing on modern common rail engines, because it changes what to test. These engines use multiple injections per cycle — one or more small pilot injections before the main event, to soften the pressure rise and quieten combustion. A pilot injection that is too large, or arrives too early, advances the whole burn without the main injection being wrong at all.
So an over-advanced code can be a pilot injection problem rather than a leaking injector, and the two are told apart by looking at the commanded injection pattern in live data rather than by removing anything.
Ask for that check before an injector is condemned. A worn injector that delivers its pilot inaccurately still needs replacing, but a strategy or adaptation issue does not.
Fuel remains worth ruling out, since anything more volatile than diesel in the tank ignites earlier than the strategy expects — on every cylinder, which is the tell.
