O que fazer
Expect reduced power — possibly quite severely limited — and understand that the throttle body is probably fine.
Your accelerator is not connected to the engine by a cable. The pedal and the throttle each carry two or three sensors, and the computers constantly cross-check them against each other, because a single sensor trusted on its own could open a throttle nobody asked to open.
This code means two computers are running software that applies those checks differently. When the car cannot resolve that cross-check, it does the safe thing and limits the throttle. Nothing is broken.
The important part: do not let the throttle body be cleaned or replaced on the strength of this. Reduced power plus a throttle code sends people straight there, and it is a real cost on a healthy part that does not fix the fault.
And one thing to expect afterwards, so you do not mistake it for a new problem. After the software is corrected, the throttle has to relearn its closed position. Until that is done the idle may be poor or the engine may not idle at all — that is a procedure, not a fault, and it takes a few minutes.

Electronic throttle control is the system on a vehicle with the most redundancy built into it, and that is exactly why a software mismatch shuts it down rather than tolerating it.
There is no cable. The pedal carries two or three independent position sensors, the throttle body carries two more, and the module continuously checks each against the others — because a single sensor believed on its own could open a throttle nobody asked to open. The tolerances for those comparisons, and the response when they fail, are defined in software.
So two modules at different calibration levels may apply different tolerances to the same signals, and the vehicle's correct answer to a redundancy check it cannot resolve is to give up authority over the throttle: a limited maximum opening, reduced power, or idle only. That is P2104's graded response, arriving for a configuration reason rather than a sensor one.
Which produces the misdiagnosis this page prevents. Reduced power with a throttle-related code sends people to the throttle body, and it gets cleaned or replaced — a real cost on a healthy part, and one that does not clear the fault.
One thing to expect after the software is corrected, so it is not mistaken for a new problem. A throttle body must relearn its closed position after the module is reprogrammed — the P2176 argument. Until that adaptation is done the idle may be poor or the engine may not hold idle at all, and it is a procedure rather than a fault.
