Ask how many of these camshaft faults are stored. If all four are, the answer is almost certainly the oil rather than four failed parts — no engine wears four phasers at once, and an oil change with the correct grade often resolves it.

Say when the oil was last changed and what grade went in. It is the most useful single fact for this whole family.

Ask for the oil control solenoid screens to be cleaned before any part is ordered. They are fine mesh filters that clog with sludge and are usually free to clean.

Say whether the fault is worse from cold, which points at oil rather than hardware.

The exhaust camshaft phaser on bank 2 is moving to its commanded position too slowly.

The same camshaft on both banks — worth noticing, because it points at neither oil nor a single part. Both exhaust phasers slowing together usually means heat and deposits, since both sit on the hot side and age identically.

All four — the oil, unambiguously. No engine wears four phasers at once, so a full set of these codes is a service question rather than a repair one.

That last case is the one worth stating plainly, because four codes look alarming and the answer is usually an oil change with the correct grade.
