What to do

The car drives normally; the surround-view system will be unavailable.

If two cameras have failed together, that is usually one cause rather than a coincidence — most often both door mirrors, which get disturbed by the same job, washed the same way, and iced up on the same mornings. Worth mentioning, because it points at what happened rather than at two parts.

One thing to ask about a quote: is recalibration included? These cameras work as a set, and the system knows where each one is in order to stitch the picture together. Replacing one means the whole set has to be recalibrated, which is why a surround-view repair costs more than the part alone — and why a quote that leaves it out will not actually fix the problem.

Four image processing sensors is the classic surround-view set — front, both mirrors, rear — so on most vehicles this completes the group, and that makes one observation available that the earlier codes cannot offer.

With the full set identified, the pattern of which are silent becomes genuinely diagnostic rather than merely suggestive:

All four is the shared supply, the aggregating module, or the network branch. Never four failures.
Two, and specifically the two mirror cameras, points at neither camera but at something both door harnesses share — or, more often, at the fact that both mirrors are reached the same way and both were disturbed by the same job.
One is that camera's own path.

The second of those is worth spelling out because it is the pattern people misread. Two symmetric failures look like a coincidence and are not; they are usually one cause applied twice — a workshop that removed both door cards, a valeting process that pressure-washed both mirrors, a winter that iced both.

And a note on what replacement involves, because it affects the quote. These cameras are calibrated as a set: the system knows where each one is and stitches accordingly. Replacing one means recalibrating the group, not just that camera — which is why a surround-view repair costs more than the part suggests, and why asking whether calibration is included in a quote is a fair question rather than a suspicious one.
