The car drives normally, and the important part of this is a safety habit rather than a repair.
This code covers the protection that stops a powered window, roof or door reversing when something is in the way. The car has decided it can no longer rely on that, and will usually withdraw automatic closing as a result.
Until it is fixed, treat every powered opening as though it will not stop. Do not let children operate the windows or roof, and check the opening is clear before you close anything. That is the whole of the risk, and it is entirely manageable if you know about it.
The repair is usually cheap — the wires that flex in the rubber boot between door and body, or a window motor that needs re-initialising after a battery disconnection. Have it looked at rather than living with it, because the function it protects is one you do not get to test safely.

The letter is the part of this code that actually tells you something, and it is worth reading carefully.
The standard letters each instance of a repeated module — one per door, one per seat, one per window — so the letter narrows a whole-vehicle fault to one corner of the car before anybody lifts a trim panel. What the letter does not do is say which corner, because the mapping from letter to physical position is the manufacturer's to choose and it is not consistent between makes.
Only the vehicle's own documentation resolves the letter to a location. Guessing costs a stripped door card and proves nothing.
Two practical consequences. If several letters in the same family are stored together, the fault is upstream of all of them — a shared supply, a shared earth, or the bus itself — and chasing one door is wasted work. And if exactly one letter is stored, you have been handed the most valuable diagnostic fact available: the other instances are working, so everything they share is proven good.
Entrapment protection is the logic that stops a powered opening closing on a person, and this code means it can no longer be trusted to do that.
Wherever a car closes something under power onto a gap a hand can reach through — windows, sunroof, powered doors, tailgate — something has to detect an obstruction and reverse. It does that by watching the motor: an unexpected rise in current, or travel that stops short of where it should be, means something is in the way.
So the data this code names is what stands between a closing window and a child's arm, and the correct response from the vehicle is to withdraw the automatic function. A car that has stopped closing its windows automatically has not broken — it has stopped doing the thing it can no longer do safely.
Which means the important instruction is behavioural rather than technical. Until it is repaired, treat every powered opening as though it will not stop, and do not rely on the reversal that normally protects passengers.
The causes are the ordinary ones of this range — the flexing door loom, water in a connector, a motor whose position learning was lost after a battery disconnection — but the priority is higher, because of what the function is for.
