Expect a gradual loss of range rather than a sudden fault. The car drives normally. Worth attending to at the next service — an unmaintained group slowly costs capacity across the whole pack.
O que este código significa
The cell balancing circuit for group A is faulty.
Cell balancing is the maintenance a traction battery performs on itself, and understanding it explains most of what owners notice about an ageing pack.
Cells in a series string drift apart. They begin nearly identical, but tiny differences in internal resistance, temperature and self-discharge accumulate over thousands of cycles until some groups hold slightly more charge than others. And a series string is governed by its weakest member in both directions: the lowest group hits the discharge floor first and stops the car using the rest, the highest hits the charging ceiling first and stops the charge. So drift does not average out — it eats the pack's usable capacity from both ends.
Balancing corrects it, and on nearly every production car it does so by throwing energy away. A small resistor is switched across the fullest groups near the top of a charge, bleeding them down until the others catch up. It is slow — hundreds of milliamps against a pack measured in tens of amp-hours — which is why it happens over hours at the end of a charge, and why a car that is never charged to full may never balance at all.
These circuits are the switches that do it, and they are a different layer from the voltage sense circuits at P0B3B. Sense circuits measure; these act. A car can measure perfectly and be unable to do anything about what it finds.
The balancing circuit will not close, so this group is never bled down.
It is the mirror of Stuck On and much the milder of the two, because a circuit that does nothing merely leaves this group unmaintained rather than actively draining it. The effect is the same slow loss of usable capacity described at the Circuit variant.
What distinguishes it diagnostically is that the module commanded the circuit and watched nothing happen, which points at the switching element itself rather than at wiring — an open wire would more often produce the circuit fault instead.

- O carro — marca, modelo, ano e motor.
