Que faire

Have this looked at by someone qualified on hybrid and electric systems — the orange cabling is not something to investigate at home.

The symptom that tells you most is the small twelve-volt battery. Your car has no alternator; a converter steps the main battery down to run the lights and computers. So a twelve-volt battery that keeps going flat on an electric or hybrid car is usually this, not the battery — and replacing the battery will not fix it.

Expect the car to protect itself with reduced power or more cooling than usual. That is deliberate when it cannot see one of its own temperatures.

Mention any recent high-voltage work, and check the electronics coolant level if your handbook shows you how — it is usually separate from the engine coolant, and low coolant produces temperature readings that make no sense.

Ce que signifie ce code

DC/DC converter temperature sensor D is reporting an implausible value.

The DC/DC converter is the part that replaced the alternator on an electrified vehicle, stepping the traction battery's hundreds of volts down to run the twelve-volt system — the lights, the computers, everything ordinary.

It runs hot by nature, switching large currents continuously, and it is liquid-cooled for that reason. Several temperature sensors watch different points inside it, and the D designator says a fourth measuring point exists — which means this is a substantial converter in a vehicle that depends on it heavily.

Losing a temperature measurement forces the module to be pessimistic. It cannot run the converter close to its limits when it cannot see one of its temperatures, so expect reduced output, more aggressive cooling, or a converter that derates under load — protection rather than failure.

The consequence a driver actually meets is the twelve-volt battery. On a hybrid or electric car there is no alternator, so a converter that has derated stops keeping the small battery charged — and a twelve-volt battery going flat repeatedly on an electric car is a converter problem, not a battery problem. Replacing the battery does not fix it.

Why this page exists when its neighbours do not. Nothing in the public web documents this block — four independent searches established that on 2026-08-10. This code is written because a manufacturer named it, with its definition, in a technical service bulletin filed with the US road safety regulator, and that OEM wording agrees with the standard's own enumeration. Its neighbours have no such document, so they remain undocumented rather than guessed.
