Wat te doen
The car drives normally and will fail an emissions test. Ask for the check valve to be replaced alongside any pump — that is what usually destroys the pump, and fitting a new pump without it repeats the failure. Have the relay, fuse and supply checked first, since those are much smaller repairs.
Wat deze code betekent
The bank 2 secondary air pump is not running when commanded — the last code in the secondary air family.
The reasoning is at P2445, and the point worth carrying away from the whole family is the one it makes: the check valve is the part that fails first and the pump is the part that gets replaced. A new pump fitted behind a failed check valve is destroyed by the same exhaust that killed the last one, and the valve costs a fraction of the pump.
The other thing this family establishes, across P2440 to P2447, is that secondary air is only harmless when it happens at the right moment. Delivered late it corrupts the mixture measurement and makes a healthy engine run rich; not delivered at all it merely costs emissions. That asymmetry is why the stuck-open and stuck-on codes are graded above the stuck-closed and stuck-off ones.
