O que fazer
Have this repaired rather than lived with. The car is telling charge points it is ready to charge when it may not be, which removes one of the protections that keeps a charging cable safe to handle. Nothing about it makes the vehicle dangerous to drive, and it is not a reason to panic — but it is not one to defer either.
O que este código significa
Control Pilot charging switch A is stuck on.
The opposite of P0CFD and the one that deserves more care. A switch stuck on means the car is holding the pilot line in its ready to charge state permanently — including when it is not plugged in, not ready, or in the middle of something else.
Why that matters is the safety property at P0CF3: the charge point energises the cable when the car says it is ready, and the whole reason a charging lead is safe to handle is that the car has not said so. A vehicle stuck in that state removes one of the layers designed to prevent a cable being live before it should be.
The charge point's own protections remain — it still checks the proximity signal and monitors for faults — so this is a defence-in-depth failure rather than an immediate hazard. But it should be repaired rather than lived with, and it is not one to work around.
