The circuit for Control Pilot charging switch A is open or faulty.
The charging switch is the car's own voice in the pilot conversation. P0CF3 explains the handshake: the charge point asks by pulse width, and the car answers by switching resistance across the pilot line to pull its voltage down in defined steps. This switch is what does that switching — it is, quite literally, how the car says I am ready.
So a fault here is not a fault in hearing the charge point. The car may be receiving the offer perfectly and simply be unable to reply, which produces a vehicle that recognises a cable has been plugged in and then does nothing.
That distinction is worth stating because it points somewhere different: the pilot circuit codes point at the inlet and its wiring; the switch codes point inside the vehicle, at the charging control electronics.
