O que fazer

The car drives normally; the seat will not adjust from its switches.

One check tells a workshop a great deal and takes a few seconds: does the seat still move on its own? Press a memory position button, or see whether it repositions when you unlock with your key. If it does move, then the seat, its motors and its electronics are all fine and only the switch panel has failed — a much smaller and cheaper job. If nothing moves it at all, the problem is more likely the seat's own module.

Say which of those it is when you book it in.

Think about what has happened to the switch panel itself. It sits on the side of the seat at shin height right by the door, so it gets kicked, catches bags and seatbelts, and takes rain off coats and umbrellas when the door is open. Water in the switches and physical damage are the usual causes rather than anything electronic.

O que este código significa

The first seat control switch module has stopped being heard from. See U0200 for the block's framing.

The distinction between this and the seat control module at U0208 is the whole point of the code, and it is genuinely useful: this is the switches, not the seat.

On a vehicle where the seat adjustment switches report over the network rather than driving the motors directly, the switch panel is its own node. It sits on the outboard side of the seat cushion, or on the door card, and its job is simply to tell the seat module what the occupant has asked for.

So the symptom is a seat that cannot be adjusted by hand while everything else about it works — and that distinction is available to the owner without any equipment:

  • If memory recall still moves the seat — pressing a stored position button, or the seat moving as it recognises a key — then the seat, its motors and its module are all fine, and only the switches have stopped. That is a much smaller problem.
  • If nothing moves the seat at all, the fault is more likely the seat module itself at U0208.

Reporting which of those is true saves a workshop a real amount of time, and it is the most useful thing this page can ask for.

Physically, the switch panel is in the most exposed position of anything on the seat. It faces outward at shin height beside the door aperture, so it is kicked getting in and out, catches bags and belts being dragged past, and takes rain straight off a coat or an umbrella when the door is open in bad weather. Water into the switch panel and mechanical damage from the door aperture are the leading findings, and the under-seat harness reasoning applies as at U0208.

  • O carro — marca, modelo, ano e motor. A mesma falha se comporta de forma diferente em cada um.
  • O que você mediu, não só o que trocou.
  • O que realmente resolveu — ou que nada resolveu, o que também vale saber.
