Worn clutch packs
The friction plates holding each gear. Wear shows as slipping — engine speed rising without matching road speed — and the module reports it as a ratio error, which is a measurement rather than a diagnosis.
Slip generates heat, and heat accelerates the wear, so the distance driven after it starts matters.
Typically specialist work. Needs equipment or training most home workshops do not have.
