P025C: Module de pompe à carburant A — circuit de commande bas
Ne continuez pas à rouler
Expect starting trouble or the engine cutting out. This is the control line for the fuel pump, so the symptoms are about fuel delivery even though the fault is electrical.
Mention any damp in the boot, under the rear seats, or in the spare wheel well. The connector this fault usually involves sits in that area, and water reaching it is one of the commonest causes — finding the leak matters as much as fixing the connector, or it will come back.
Do not agree to a new fuel pump on this code alone. It points at wiring or the pump's control module, and the pump itself is the most expensive item on that list.
Say whether the problem comes and goes with the weather, since that points strongly at water rather than at a broken wire.
Ce que signifie ce code
The control circuit to the fuel pump control module is sitting lower than commanded.
A low reading on a control circuit usually means a short to ground, and on this circuit that has a specific practical consequence — the pump module may be receiving what looks like a permanent maximum or minimum request, or nothing intelligible at all. Either way fuel delivery stops being controlled.
The distinction from the open-circuit version of this fault is worth drawing. An open circuit is a break; this is a connection to somewhere it should not be connected. Chafing is the classic mechanism — this harness runs the length of the vehicle, and where it passes a seat rail, a floor pan seam or a fuel line clip, years of movement wear the insulation through onto the body.
Water is the other one. The connector at the pump module frequently sits under the rear seat or near the tank, and a leaking rear screen, a blocked sunroof drain or a failed boot seal delivers water directly to it. A connector that has been wet reads low, dries out, and comes back — which is the intermittent history these often have.
Look for the water source, not just the wet connector. Drying and sealing a connector under a leak that has not been fixed buys a few weeks.
