O que fazer
The car drives normally and a rear seat's powered adjustment will have stopped. On most vehicles rear seats have no airbag role, so this is a comfort fault rather than a safety one.
Lift the rear carpet or check whether the rear footwells have been damp. Water reaches the back of a car more often than the front and gets noticed far later — a leaking door or boot seal, a blocked drain, or just wet feet and umbrellas. A connector sitting under a damp carpet gives exactly this.
If child seats are regularly fitted and removed, or if anything is stored under the seats, mention it — the wiring runs right there and gets crushed or pulled.
One thing worth ruling out cheaply if the fault has always been there: on vehicles where powered rear seats were an option, a control unit configured for equipment that was never fitted reports it as permanently missing. That is a coding correction, not a repair.

A third seat module means powered rear seats, and the occupant-classification concern from U0208 largely falls away — rear seats generally have no airbag suppression duty, so this is a comfort fault rather than a safety one on most vehicles.
What replaces it is a different and more mundane problem: rear seat wiring is abused in ways front seat wiring is not. The loom runs under the seat and along the floor, where it meets luggage, child seats being fitted and removed, feet, and anything that rolls under a seat — and on vehicles with folding or removable rear seats it crosses a hinge or a release mechanism that was designed for a seat rather than for a cable.
Water reaches rear footwells more often than front ones and is noticed later, which is the other half of it. Blocked pollen filter drains, a leaking rear door seal, a boot seal, or simply wet feet and umbrellas leave a rear carpet damp for weeks without anyone lifting it. A module or connector sitting under that is on borrowed time.
On a vehicle with reclining or heated rear seats as an option, one non-fault is worth eliminating first: the equipment may never have been fitted, and a module configured for it but absent from the vehicle reports a permanent lost-communication code — the same coding issue described at U0205.
