U0543: Dados inválidos recebidos do módulo B de controle dos faróis
O que fazer
Check your headlights tonight before deciding how urgent this is.
Modern headlights aim themselves, and when the car stops trusting the data behind that it usually drops the beam very low or stops the lights following corners. Both are visible: lights pointing at the road just in front of the car, or a beam that no longer swings into bends.
If the beam is aimed high instead, treat it as urgent — you will be dazzling oncoming drivers without knowing it, and it will fail a roadworthiness test.
Mention any recent suspension or front-end work. The sensor that tells the headlights how the car is sitting is mounted on the suspension, and a bent or disconnected link there is the usual cause — a cheap part doing an important job.
O que este código significa
Headlamp control module B is broadcasting data that cannot be accepted as true. See U0400 for what an invalid-data code is and why the module it names is usually the messenger rather than the culprit.
The letter is the part of this code that actually tells you something, and it is worth reading carefully.
The standard letters each instance of a repeated module — one per door, one per seat, one per window — so the letter narrows a whole-vehicle fault to one corner of the car before anybody lifts a trim panel. What the letter does not do is say which corner, because the mapping from letter to physical position is the manufacturer's to choose and it is not consistent between makes.
Only the vehicle's own documentation resolves the letter to a location. Guessing costs a stripped door card and proves nothing.
Two practical consequences. If several letters in the same family are stored together, the fault is upstream of all of them — a shared supply, a shared earth, or the bus itself — and chasing one door is wasted work. And if exactly one letter is stored, you have been handed the most valuable diagnostic fact available: the other instances are working, so everything they share is proven good.
A headlamp module matters more than most comfort electronics for a simple reason: its failure modes are visible to other road users and some of them are illegal.
Modern headlamps are managed assemblies — levelling motors that keep the beam out of oncoming eyes as the car squats and dives, bending or matrix functions that steer or mask the beam, and on gas-discharge or LED units the ballast or driver that runs the lamp itself. The module reports lamp state, levelling position and load.
When that data becomes implausible, the safe response is usually to drop the beam to its lowest position or disable the adaptive functions, and both are visible from the driver's seat: headlights aimed at the road immediately in front of the car, or a beam that no longer follows corners.
The most common physical cause is at the front of the car and gets no attention: the levelling sensor on the suspension. A ride-height sensor linkage that is bent, corroded or disconnected feeds the module a body attitude that is not true, and the beam gets aimed accordingly. Accident repair, suspension work or a snapped plastic link are the usual triggers.
A headlamp aimed too high dazzles oncoming drivers and will fail a roadworthiness test. This is worth fixing quickly on both counts.

- O carro — marca, modelo, ano e motor. A mesma falha se comporta de forma diferente em cada um.
- O que você mediu, não só o que trocou.
- O que realmente resolveu — ou que nada resolveu, o que também vale saber.
