Expect equipment in one part of the car to behave oddly, while everything else is fine — and that pattern is useful information.
This is one of the car's body computers. On modern cars these are split by area — one for the front, one for the back, sometimes one per door — and each carries its share of the list of what your car actually has.
So when one of them is running software that does not match the others, the strangeness is confined to that area. Equipment you have stops working because that computer has been told it does not exist, or faults appear for equipment you do not have.
One pattern is worth mentioning specifically, because it looks like a broken switch and is not. A feature that works from one switch but not another, or works when the car is unlocked but not when it is running. That is two computers each behaving perfectly correctly on different information — and no amount of testing wiring or replacing switches will find it.
Mention any module replaced, especially second-hand, and anything retrofitted and wired in without the car being told about it. Those are the two routes in.
No part is needed. The fix is writing your car's original specification back into the modules, which the manufacturer holds against its VIN.

The standard offers both an unlettered entry at U0322 and an A here, and manufacturers use the two inconsistently, so which physical box a given vehicle means must come from their documentation rather than from the letter.
What a lettered module adds is that the configuration is now split, and that changes the shape of a mismatch.
Where the body electrics are distributed across zones, each zone module carries its own share of the vehicle's specification — the front module knows about the front lighting and the wipers, the rear about the tailgate and the trailer socket, and so on. They must agree with each other and with the master about what the vehicle has.
So a mismatch here produces the U0322 symptoms confined to one area, which is genuinely useful: equipment behaving oddly in one part of the vehicle, and correctly everywhere else, localises the wrong configuration without any testing.
And it produces one pattern that is worth recognising because it looks like a hardware fault and is not. Two zone modules that disagree about whether a feature exists can leave it half working — a function that operates from one switch and not another, or works when the vehicle is unlocked and not when it is running. That is two modules each behaving correctly on different information, and no wiring test will find it.
The fix is the same as U0322's: the vehicle's build data, written back from the manufacturer's record against its identification number. Nothing is bought.
