U053D: Ungültige Daten vom Bildverarbeitungsmodul C empfangen
Was zu tun ist
The car drives normally, but assume the driver assistance features are not working — lane keeping, automatic high beam, sign recognition, collision warning, surround view. Drive as though the car has none of them.
Two cheap checks first. Look at the windscreen right in front of the camera, up near the mirror — dirt, ice, a sticker, a parking permit or a dashcam in the wrong place will blind it, and that is not a fault. And has the windscreen been replaced? A camera must be recalibrated after a new screen, and a missed calibration is one of the most common causes of exactly this. If so, go back to whoever fitted it.
Do not test automatic emergency braking to see whether it works. If several assistance features have gone at once, that is normal for this fault — one camera feeds them all.
Was dieser Code bedeutet
Image processing module C is broadcasting data that cannot be accepted as true. See U0400 for what an invalid-data code is and why the module it names is usually the messenger rather than the culprit.
The letter is the part of this code that actually tells you something, and it is worth reading carefully.
The standard letters each instance of a repeated module — one per door, one per seat, one per window — so the letter narrows a whole-vehicle fault to one corner of the car before anybody lifts a trim panel. What the letter does not do is say which corner, because the mapping from letter to physical position is the manufacturer's to choose and it is not consistent between makes.
Only the vehicle's own documentation resolves the letter to a location. Guessing costs a stripped door card and proves nothing.
Two practical consequences. If several letters in the same family are stored together, the fault is upstream of all of them — a shared supply, a shared earth, or the bus itself — and chasing one door is wasted work. And if exactly one letter is stored, you have been handed the most valuable diagnostic fact available: the other instances are working, so everything they share is proven good.
An image processing module is the computer that interprets what a camera sees, and on a modern car a surprising number of features depend on it.
Lane keeping, traffic sign recognition, automatic high beam, forward collision warning and the surround-view display all read from camera processing. So the practical consequence of this code is usually a list of driver assistance features quietly becoming unavailable at once, which is a signature worth recognising: several unrelated-seeming systems failing together points at one camera rather than several faults.
Windscreen work is the first question for any forward-facing camera. The camera looks through a specific patch of glass at a precise angle, and a replacement screen — particularly a non-original one with different optical properties — requires the camera to be recalibrated. Skipping that step is one of the commonest causes of camera faults in the trade.
Then the mundane: what the camera can see. A dirty or iced patch of screen in front of the lens, a dashcam or parking permit stuck in the wrong place, a sunshade left up — all of them blind it, and none of them is a fault.
Do not rely on lane keeping or automatic braking while this is stored. The systems that use this data may be off, may be degraded, or may behave inconsistently, and the only safe assumption is that they are not there.

Dazu wurde noch nichts veröffentlicht. Was immer Sie gefunden haben, ist es wert, aufgeschrieben zu werden — selbst eine Sackgasse erspart jemandem denselben Nachmittag.
Was einen Bericht lesenswert macht:
- Das Fahrzeug — Marke, Modell, Baujahr und Motor. Derselbe Fehler verhält sich auf jedem anders.
- Was Sie gemessen haben, nicht nur, was Sie getauscht haben.
- Was es tatsächlich behoben hat — oder dass nichts es behoben hat, was ebenso nützlich ist.
