The navigation screen has gone dead, and the car drives entirely normally. Use a phone for directions in the meantime.
One free check first, and it settles which repair you are looking at. Does anything at all still appear on that screen — the radio, the reversing camera, the car's settings menus?
If yes, the screen itself is alive and the problem is whatever should be sending the map to it.
If the screen is completely dead, the fault is the screen, its fuse or its connection.
Those are two very different repairs, and telling the garage which you have seen saves both time and money.
The most useful thing you can add is whether anything has been changed. A screen or head unit fitted second-hand from another car — very common, and often from a higher-specification model — will frequently fit perfectly and expect a different configuration. That is a coding job rather than a fault, and diagnosing it as a failure wastes money.
Nothing about this affects safety, and the navigation computer itself may be working perfectly well behind a dead screen.

The navigation display module has stopped being heard from. The general reasoning is at U0100, and U0463 explains that the screen and the navigation computer are separate units on many vehicles — a distinction worth settling before parts are ordered.
Silence makes that distinction easier to test than bad data does, and the test is free.
If the audio, the reversing camera and the vehicle settings still appear on that screen, the screen is alive and the fault is in what feeds it. If the screen is dead entirely, it is the screen, its supply or its connection. One observation, and it separates two repairs that differ by an order of magnitude in cost.
Where the fault usually is: a display module is one of the most commonly swapped parts on a used vehicle, so coding is a leading cause — a screen from a higher or lower specification model frequently fits mechanically, connects electrically and expects a different configuration. That is not a fault to find; it is a fault to correct.
After that, the ordinary causes are the head unit's own fuse and the connector behind the dash, which is disturbed by every stereo installation, phone-mount wiring job and dash rattle investigation.
Nothing here affects driving. The navigation computer itself may still be working perfectly — see U0163 for the cases where it is not, which is the one with consequences beyond the map.
