The vehicle drives normally.
Start with the simplest question: is there actually a seat that has stopped working? On a vehicle with this many powered seats, built to order, it is common for the control system to be configured for more positions than were actually fitted — and it then reports the missing ones for ever. If every seat works and nobody can say which one this refers to, that is a coding correction rather than a repair, and taking panels off will find nothing.
If there is a seat that has stopped, ask whether any of the others are also reporting faults. These seats normally share a local network, so several silent together means one shared fault rather than several — which is one repair, and it decides which seat to work on. That matters here, because reaching a rear seat on a vehicle like yours usually means removing interior lining.
If the vehicle is a conversion, start with the converter rather than the base manufacturer's dealer — they have the wiring diagrams.

Twelve addressable seat modules is beyond any passenger car, and identifying the vehicle type is the whole first step: a minibus, a limousine, an executive shuttle, a specialist conversion, or a vehicle with individually powered seating throughout.
On a vehicle like this the configuration question from U0205 and U0221 becomes the leading candidate rather than a footnote. Seating layouts are built to order from a common control architecture, and the vehicle's configuration is what tells it which positions exist. A module reported missing at the far end of a series, with nobody able to point at a seat that has stopped working, is equipment the vehicle was never fitted with.
The distinguishing question is unchanged and worth asking first: is there a symptom at all? A real seat module fault means a seat somebody can sit in that no longer adjusts. A code with no seat behind it is a coding correction, and no amount of dismantling will find anything.
If there is a symptom, the counting test from U0247 decides where to work: several modules silent together is the shared link or supply — one repair — while one alone is that seat's own branch. On a vehicle where reaching a rear seat means removing interior lining rather than a trim panel, getting that wrong is expensive.
And on a converted vehicle, the converter's documentation is the reference, as at U0259, not the base manufacturer's.
