The car drives normally, but how urgent this is depends entirely on what your screen controls.
If the heating, demisting and the reversing camera are only reachable through the screen, treat a dead display as urgent. Not being able to demist a windscreen is a safety problem, not an inconvenience. If you still have physical heater controls, it can wait.
Two things worth mentioning. Does it misbehave when the car is hot and recover when it has cooled? That points at heat rather than wiring, and it is useful information. And was there a software update recently — done at a dealer or over the air? An update that finished on one module and not another produces exactly this and is fixed by completing it.
If the screen has been replaced, or the car has an aftermarket head unit, say so — the two ends have to agree about how they talk.

The front display interface module is broadcasting data that cannot be accepted as true. See U0400 for what an invalid-data code is and why the module it names is usually the messenger rather than the culprit.
This is the screen itself — the display in the centre of the dashboard, and on many vehicles the panel that also carries the touch surface.
A modern display is not a monitor. It reports its own state, its touch coordinates, its backlight and temperature, and it takes instructions about what to draw from a separate computing module. This code says that conversation has stopped making sense.
Heat is the physical cause people underestimate. A screen bonded into a dashboard, behind glass, in direct sun, reaches temperatures that shorten the life of its backlight and its bonding — and a display that misbehaves on hot days and recovers overnight is describing a thermal fault rather than an intermittent connection.
The other regular cause is software mismatch. Displays and their controllers are updated as pairs; update one and not the other and they disagree about protocol versions — which belongs with the U03xx family and is fixed by finishing the update rather than by replacing hardware.
What makes this worth prioritising above ordinary infotainment faults is what has moved onto the screen. On many vehicles the heating, demisting, mirror adjustment and reversing camera have no physical controls at all. A dead screen on such a car is not an entertainment problem — it is a car you cannot demist.
